Free Upleveling
No paywall FTW!
We’re approaching the one-year mark of this blog. My original target was 2 posts a week when I’m not on vacation, which would have netted me around 90 a year. I’m currently at 78 posts. My biking accident1 along with some family struggles are my rationale for missing this target. Regardless of coming up short, I have greatly enjoyed the process and the results (“Celebrate progress though short of perfection”), so this blog will live on. But I am making a fundamental change …
I want to thank the paying subscribers for helping to fund the bootstrapping of my uplevel pro business. It was valuable funding during this transition. But at the one year mark for my business, I have been evaluating the different revenue streams, and have concluded that the uplevel pro blog is much better as a free asset than as paid content. This blog has been more successful as an onramp to my coaching and university work than as a separate revenue stream. And by removing the paywalls, that will only increase the onramp potential.
So before your annual subscription payments come up for renewal, I’m canceling all paid subscriptions and removing all paywalls. The uplevel pro blog will be free to everyone. Enjoy … and share broadly!
This blog will be quiet for the rest of June while I take a few vacations. See you all here in July.
